These links go to various reports concerning the reversal of the 1998 ruling against gay marriage in Iowa.

The court determined the "separate is never equal" in this landmark case, that although will be appealed again, more than likely will stand as the precedent is Brown VS Board of Education.

Lets get on it California! Iowa has realized that Legal Gay Marriage is good for the economy as LGBT people can, and will relocate to the states that treat them equally, bringing with them money and skill sets that continue to stimulate the economy. This new blood will revive communities that have unemployment rates topping 10 percent. Weddings are an amazing exercise in trickle down economics; everyone from the cake decorator to the guy who parks the cars in the church lot will get paid. The average wedding in this country pumps 50K into the local economy. That's a bunch of cash to a small town in Iowa.
